I am a Freelance Radio and Podcast Producer with a specialism in science.

Recording an episode of Parentland

As a reporter, I have worked from the extremes of both a giant freezer and a heat-chamber, as well as multiple science labs and theatres across the country. I have a particular interest in the science-arts crossover, evidenced by the packages I have produced covering technology-art crossover at the Nam June Paik exhibition at the Tate Modern or with the choreographer Alexander Whitley and his work exploring the human / digital relationship.Recording an episode of Parentland

I specialise in recording programmes on location. I visited the Artic earlier this year, producing two programmes for the BBC World Service series CrowdScience from the icy island of Svalbard. I also produced a special two-part programme on coastal erosion for CrowdScience, recorded on location in Florida and Puerto Rico, USA. For this I won the Ricardo Ortega Memorial Prize from the United Nations Correspondents’ Association.

I have also produced multiple episodes of LadyKillers with Lucy Worsley for BBC Radio 4 and BBC Sounds, including recording on location in Ohio and Massachusetts, and worked on the All in the Mind Mental Health Awards, culminating in a live recording in the BBC Radio Theatre.

I work on a variety of programmes for BBC Radio 4, BBC World Service, The Economist and on a range of podcasts for independent production companies for Audible, the BBC, charities and organisations. I have produced programmes, items and reports on an incredibly diverse range of topics, from #freeperiods to gravitational waves.

Most recently I developed and produced the new series of Unearthed: The need for seeds for Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Presented by Cate Blanchett, the series celebrated the past, present and future of the Millennium Seed Bank at Wakehurst, and featured a special conversation with His Majesty the King, which we recorded at Windsor Castle.

With a First Class Honours in BSc Geography from Durham University, and Distinction in MSc Science Media Production from Imperial College London, I am an experienced science communicator. I actively seek fresh and engaging stories to create captivating, informative and entertaining programmes to bring audio to life.

Originally from Edinburgh, I am now based in London. Outside of work, I enjoy being outdoors, theatre, playing netball, and travelling.

I enjoy working on a range of projects - if you’d like to find out about how we could work together, please get in contact via the button below.
